Empowered Learning and Development

Welcome!

At Empowered Learning and Development, we believe that families are best when they're together. We have worked in the child welfare field and social services in Manitoba for many years, and we have seen the struggles that families and parents face when life gets a little messy. Too often, children get taken from their parents, families, and communities. This creates trauma and so many struggles and issues for everyone involved. We believe that the child welfare system needs to change. Prevention is the key… not taking children away and trying to resolve the issues later.

So, what does prevention look like?

Well, it can look like many things. It can be providing supports to a family in their home, offering learning opportunities for parents and families, cultural exploration, coaching and guidance, listening to peoples’ stories, and so much more. This is where we come in.

We work with CFS agencies and other organizations to support parents and families to learn and develop skills so that their family can remain together (or work toward reunification). We offer a variety of trainings and workshops to suit our clients’ needs. Whether it’s group training, consulting, or individual mentorship, we are here to help empower families in their learning and development so that they can remain a family.

We operate primarily in Winnipeg and within Manitoba.

Our Trainings & Workshops

We offer a variety of trainings and workshops and can tailor them specifically to your organization or clients’ needs. Participant-geared training is important for learning and development, so we strive to make our trainings fun, interactive, and relevant. Since people learn in different ways, we use various teaching methods in our workshops.

Our Coaching & Mentoring Services

Client participation in coaching or mentoring services is crucial for development, learning, and growth. We strive to make our coaching services supportive, empowering, and relevant to the client and their needs. Teamwork makes the dream work, right?!
